Wishlist: Home Office

Having a nice, pretty and functional home office is the ultimate goal, especially as someone who works from home. Sadly I haven’t got much room for a proper office setup at the moment, but a girl can dream right? I think my ideal home office would be quite minimal with touches of pale wood, lots of plants and a few decorations and knick knacks to add some personality. A little something like this…

Daily Notes Pad by Kikki K · Textured Box by H&M · Blooming Marvellous Candle by Laura Thomas Linens · Retro Photo Prints by Cheerz · Wire Mesh Memo Board by Block · Edelweiss Desk by MADE.COM · Deauville Chair by MADE.COM · Strandmon Chair by IKEA · Ivory Sheepskin Rug by John Lewis · Potted Plant by IKEA · Elysia Round Gold Mirror by Maisons du Monde · Jacquard Weave Cushion Cover by H&M · Cacti by IKEA

Let’s start with the most important part: the desk. The Edelweiss Desk from MADE.COM perfectly combines my love of midcentury modern shapes with clean Scandi design. It also looks like it would be the ideal size – big enough for your laptop, various notebooks and a couple of bits and bobs, but small enough that it can fit snugly into a relatively small room. And it has drawers! That’s like the furniture equivalent of a dress having pockets.

Their Deauville Chair looks like it would go beautifully, although I’d be concerned it might not be super comfy for sitting on all day so I’d need plenty of cushions and throws to go with it! MADE.COM have a nice wee sale on just now with up to 40% off (although typically my dream desk is still full price, boohoo!) plus you can get an extra £15 off with my referral code B3XL0VXK so you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!

I would love one of the Wire Mesh Memo Boards, but all the ones I’ve seen are so expeeeeensive. Surely it can’t cost £50 for a sheet of wire?! If I was a bit handier I might try to DIY one, but for now I’ll just admire them from afar. I love that they’re so easy to customise with little personal bits (like Polaroid style Instagram snaps, postcards or mini art prints), but they’re also practical too for keeping notes.

In terms of accessories, I’d definitely like a small sheepskin rug either to go on the floor or to drape over the back of the chair, accompanied by plenty of the aforementioned cushions. I’d also have lots of plants dotted around, I’ve had my eye on one of those massive tropical-looking ones for ages but don’t really have room for one at the moment, so little desk/shelf plants or mini cacti are a great option if you’re short on space.

And finally, it wouldn’t be a dreamy Pinterest-inspired home office without a couple of candles, would it? I’ve got a mini version of the Blooming Marvellous Candle from Laura Thomas Linens and omg it smells so good. Every time I walk past it, even when it’s not lit, I get a whiff of the scent and it’s so nice. Inspired by eteaket’s Blooming Marvellous green tea, it has notes of raspberry, vanilla and rose. If you love sweet, fruity scents that aren’t overpowering or artificial-smelling, you need to try this candle!

What’s on your home office wishlist?

P.S. non-spon in any way, I just really want a home office, okay.
