UncommonGoods: Summer Gift Guide

Buying gifts is fun, but it can also be a bit of a struggle if you don’t know where to start. You don’t want to end up buying something rubbish or something generic that four other people will have probably bought too. But, aha! I have a solution – that’s where UncommonGoods step in. They’re an American company who work with independent designers, makers and artists to bring you a curated collection of unique, unusual and personal gifts.

Whether you’re looking for wedding gifts with a personal touch or unique gifts for bridesmaids, there’s plenty to choose from (and plenty you’d want to buy for yourself too!). UncommonGoods ship to the UK and lots of other international locations, so you don’t have to be based in the USA to shop their online store.

As well as bringing together a great selection of gifts, UncommonGoods are also committed to being an environmentally friendly and socially responsible company. This means they’re big on sustainability, creating a positive workplace, supporting environmental programmes and offering customers handmade, organic and recycled products. Sounds good, right? In today’s blog post, I’ve teamed up with UncommonGoods to bring you my top summer gift picks – from Father’s Day gifts for men to on-trend summer party gifts.

Summer Cocktail Party Gifts

I must admit, these are all gifts I want for myself. But they would also be great if you have a friend with a summer birthday, want to get a housewarming gift for someone who has moved house, or just as a treat for someone who loves throwing summer garden parties. I looooove the gold Pineapple Tumbler, and of course would need the matching Pineapple Drink Dispenser too. Keeping with the fruity theme, how cute are the set of four Fruit Slice Glasses? The Tropical Palm Throw would be great as a picnic blanket – with a mojito in hand from your own Grow & Craft Mint Mojito Kit of course! I love the set of Himalayan Salt Tequila Glasses too, they look so pretty and would be ideal for summer cocktail parties.

Personalised Wedding Gifts

If you want to get something extra special as a wedding present this summer, a personalised gift is a great idea. The handmade Map of Our Hearts artwork is lovely, and a Custom Map Pillow of the place where the couple met or are getting married would make a really nice gift. I also love the First Toast Personalised Art which has a cool art deco feel to it. For something a little more understated, the Personalised Family Name Embroidery is really cute, or you could opt for the Personalised Maple Wall Clock for a thoughtful wedding gift the couple can use in their new home together. If they’re a bit bolder with their style, why not go for something more unusual like the Neon Love Infinity Art?

Happy Father’s Day Gifts

Father’s Day is just around the corner now. Buying gifts for men (especially dads) is notoriously difficult, but luckily UncommonGoods have lots of great options. If your dad is barbecue-obsessed like mine, he’d probably love the Kabob Grilling Baskets, and a Salsa Grow Kit to go with them. Treat whisky drinkers to a personalised City Map Glass which is etched with the streets and landmarks of their favourite city. For the office, there’s a quirky Fire Escape Shelf which I love, or a beautiful Deco Desktop Clock which would look perfect on his desk. If your dad likes grooming and beer, why not combine them both with the Craft IPA Beer Shampoo and Conditioner?!
