If, like me, you spend a lot of time browsing Pinterest to come up with interior ideas for your dream home, MADE.COM is no doubt a brand you’ll have heard of before. Their furniture is simple, stylish and – as they cut out the middle-man to bring you products straight from the makers – it’s pretty affordable considering how well designed it is.
MADE have just opened a pop-up showroom in Edinburgh to showcase some of their products, and I joined them for a supper club last week to find out all about it. If you’re not in Edinburgh, don’t worry as I’ve also put together my picks of some lovely MADE pieces you can buy online!
MADE.COM Edinburgh Pop-Up
The Edinburgh MADE showroom, located at 17 Dundas Street, is laid out like a flat with a living and dining area at the front and a bedroom at the back – it feels just like you’re stepping into someone’s very well decorated living room as you come through the door. Everything in the showroom is made by MADE – from the bed and accent chairs to the lamps and even the cutlery. MADE have recently designed a much wider range of home accessories and tableware, rather than just the big furniture they’re known for, and it was lovely to see how it all worked together in the setting of a “real” home.
As we chatted to the folks from MADE and learned a little bit about the history and ethos of the company, we were treated to a three-course dinner by Dram and Smoke. As well as enjoying the food (that beef fillet thoooo), I also spent the whole meal admiring the beautiful crockery, glassware and gold cutlery by MADE – seriously I need these forks and knives in my life.
The MADE showroom is open until February 5th, and it’s definitely worth popping in for some interiors inspiration. You can even create your own wishlist with the in-store mobile tablets so you don’t forget any of your favourite pieces when payday comes around! Find out more here.
My MADE.COM Picks
If you’re not going to be in Edinburgh this month, don’t worry as MADE is an online shop so everything in the showroom is also available on their website. After having had a look at lots of the beautiful products in person, here are my top picks that are going straight on my wishlist.
