Mixtape: January

January Mixtape · via Spotify

As much as I’d like to pretend otherwise, I LOVE TIMBER. I know I shouldn’t, but I just love it and I do apologise if it’s stuck in your head forever after this (not really though). I have such a soft spot for country music and quite a few of the other songs on this playlist have a bit of a country/folky twang too. Hopefully the rest of them are a bit more credible than Timber though, HA.

After hearing Dragon by The Amazing on the Drinking Buddies soundtrack the other week, I’ve fallen completely in love with it. I think it’s definitely my most-played track of this month, closely followed by Good Times Bad Times by Led Zeppelin, mostly thanks to the advert for American Hustle. It’s just the best when some of your favourite songs pop up on film soundtracks, or when you discover a new favourite band through watching a film or TV show. Win/win.

Led Zeppelin · Good Times Bad Times
Pitbull & Ke$ha · Timber

It pains me to admit that I, too, love Timber! Cannot help but shake my hips along to it hah. Also loving Clean Bandit – Rather Be this month.
I need to find more new music, so might give some of these tracks a whirl!
