On Monday I headed through to Glasgow for a blogger event held by INAA.com to give us a little preview of the finalists for the INAA Hair and Beauty Awards which are being held later this month. As I was a total failure and didn’t actually take any photos at the event, I thought I’d share my outfit instead. As it was at the 29 Private Members Club I thought I would dress up a little bit fancier than usual so opted for a new dress from Topshop. I seem to be really into wrap dresses at the moment, and I love the drapey Grecian style of this one. I also like that it’s navy blue, nice and dark but a little bit different to my usual uniform of black!
Most of my necklaces are ones on long chains, but with the high neckline of this dress I wanted something a bit shorter and more statmenty. I bought this spiked one in Primark last week and I think it goes really well with the dress. When I was younger I used to favour silver jewellery, but nowadays I’m all about the gold. I hardly ever remember to wear bracelets, but I had a dig around in my jewllery drawer for some nice gold ones to go with the rest of the outfit. They’re a bit of a mish-mash that have been collected over the years, but I think the majority of them are from Primark!
It was lovely as always to catch up with some other Scottish bloggers, I don’t think there’s ever been so many of us in one place before! Some of INAA’s sponsors, including Bare Minerals, Bumble and Bumble, GHD and Lauren’s Way (including Lauren Goodger herself, although I must admit I’ve never watched TOWIE and don’t reeeally know who she is, oops!), were there giving demonstrations and mini-makeovers to some lucky girls. Usually I have to rush off to catch the train back to Edinburgh after events in Glasgow, but this time I was staying over at my pal Morag’s flat so I was able to indulge in lots of cocktails and wine at the event, and afterwards we headed to The Social for yet more cocktails. We ended up having a proper night out and rolling home just before 3am. Most of my friends are from the east coast, so I’ve never actually been for a night out in Glasgow before – it was nice to sample some Glasgow nightlife, even if I can’t quite remember all of it!
