Elemis Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser*
I never really used to be bothered about skincare at all, but recently I've become a lot more interested in looking after my skin - I blame reading too many blogs for this! So when Pure Spa got in contact to ask if I'd like to review a sample of this Elemis cleanser I immediately said yes. A couple of months ago I bought the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and I wasn't particularly impressed with it, so I was interested to see how another creamy cleanser would compare.
The Elemis Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser is a daily cleanser which can be used to remove makeup, hydrate your skin and generally just freshen up and brighten the look of your skin. As I'm far too lazy to do a proper skincare routine in the mornings, I have been using it at night to take my makeup off and prepare my skin for going to bed. The cream has a nice, natural scent (I can't really think of a good way to describe it, but it has that sort of clean plant smell that skin products often have, I'm sure you know what I mean!) and is really thick so it feels very rich and moisturising on your skin. The directions recommend to massage it in to dry skin to warm and loosen the cleanser, leave it for a minute to dissolve your makeup, then remove it with a warm, damp mitt or cloth. After using the Pro-Radiance cleanser my skin felt really soft and nourished, and like I had spent a lot more than two minutes taking care of it! It's great at removing face makeup, but I prefer to remove the worst of my eye makeup first before using the cleanser as I find it's not quite so good at that.
I've only been using the cleanser for around a week, so obviously I can't comment on the long-term benefits, but the short-term effects of it seem really promising. In the winter I tend to get dry skin around my nose and cheeks, but since using the Elemis Pro-Radiance cleanser I've definitely noticed that my skin has felt less dry and overall just a bit more soft and nicer looking.
Pure Spa are running their Good Skincare Campaign at the moment to help people understand skincare better and recommend the best types of products to use during the autumn and winter months. I am absolutely clueless when it comes to skincare so I need all the help I can get! Pure Spa have branches in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow so if you're a fellow Scottish blogger (or, you know, normal person) and fancy treating yourself to a bit of pampering then why not try Pure's Revive Face and Body Package which is available at half price just now as part of the Good Skincare Campaign? Alternatively, you could treat yourself to some goodies from Pure's online shop, I'm loving the look of all these Elemis Christmas kits!
Have you tried any Elemis products? What's your favourite cleanser?
