Ah, so glad it's finally Sunday again, this week has been a massive failure! Pretty much everything I've done this week seems to have gone wrong in some way, shape or form. Well, I'm being a little overdramatic, but lots of uni-related stress, managed to break the sofa, had an Asda grocery delivery that failed to turn up (still isn't here, RAGE), lost my USB stick and generally have spent a lot of time moaning about life. It's just been one of those weeks!
I was in a much better mood on Thursday, however, as I went through to Glasgow with Lynne to go to the Scottish Bloggers pub quiz. It was lovely to meet up with some bloggers I had met before as well as lots of new faces, and of course it was also lovely to indulge in a few cocktails. My team ended up winning, which I don't think any of us expected! Huge thanks to Paula for organising everything and putting together some lovely little goody bags for us all!
I've been thinking about getting a full fringe cut in for a while, and recently I bought a clip in fringe from Ebay to see what it would look like. It took rather a lot of customising with the kitchen scissors, but I finally got it to look (sort of) natural. I think I really like it, will probably be brave and book an appointment at the hairdressers next week! What do you think? (Also Edinburgh people, any recommendations for hairdressers? It's been years since I last got my hair cut).
I've also started Halloween preparations this week, it's definitely my favourite "holiday" of the year. My flatmate and I have decided to have a wee Halloween party next weekend so we have started decorating the flat already, keen beans that we are. I've got lots of recipes bookmarked so I can't wait to start making some weird and wonderful cakes and party food! I'm going to dress up as Cleopatra this year and have half my costume sorted out, just waiting for some accessories I ordered from Ebay to arrive. Are you dressing up this year?
What have you been up to this week?

Those nachos look seriously tasty and YES to the fringe, I've had mine for years and can't imagine life without it- they hide many a spot and are pretty easy to maintain :) xx
ReplyDeleteMmm, I want some food and cocktails now! I absolutely love the fringe on you!
ReplyDeleteI'm less keen on Halloween mainly 'cause it clashes with my birthday (two days before!) and I get bored of having to have a birthday/halloween party! I have started normal party preparations though :) xo.
I'm dressing up as Dusty Springfield. Wanted to do Marie Antoinette but you can't do her on a budget x
ReplyDeleteLoving the full fringe! Definitely suits you. Though when I had mine cut it took a while to sit how I wanted it as it kept falling how I used to have my hair. xo
ReplyDeleteAhh, you suit the fringe!
ReplyDeleteAs for Edinburgh hairdressers, I usually go to Cheynes on Lothian Road which I've not had a bad haircut at yet (currently making the most of my student discount and shopping around though!). 40% discount for first-timers there too xo
Was great to meet you on Thurs - loving the fringe, you should definitely go for it! RE Edinburgh hair salons - Medusa on Forrest Road is good! Lynne xx
ReplyDeletethe fringe is fantastic ! xx

Fringe looks great, just take the plunge. I'm not really going to a halloween party this year - it's my housemate's bday and we're all dressing up like garden gnomes :) Cleopatra sounds like an awesome costume - the fringe would look great with it :) x
ReplyDeleteThe fringe does look natural! Hope you have a better week. I just found your blog and I already love it, definite follow! xx
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the necklace!
ReplyDeleteoh the cocktail looks good!
ReplyDeletereally good!
I looove nachos!! And sorry you had an awful week. Oh and I have to say that I LOVE YOUR FRINGE!!! I don't do Halloween or fireworks m'afraid!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you've raged to Asda - they should definitely give you some kind of discount!! What a poor service! On a brighter note, your fringe looks amazingly natural - can't believe that's a clip in! I'd say go for it, it really suits you :) I've been having the fringe debate myself lately, I can never quite decide!! xx
ReplyDeletePARTY QUEEN! P.S. I'm getting a fringe too, we'll be twinz :D xo
ReplyDeleteYES YES YES get a fringe! You look lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd asda always fail with their online shopping, I once got a really weird letter from the delivery man saying we weren't in when we were!
xx
Please get a fringe, it looks amazing on you!
