Jumper: H&M
Skirt: River Island
Boots: Ebay
Necklace: Ginger Pickle
Ah you've got to love a good studded outfit, I feel like such a ~blogger~ in this! I bought the boots recently from Ebay and I'm a little bit in love with them. They seem pretty sturdy and the heel isn't too high, so they're great for daytime but also dressy enough for dinner or the pub in the evening. They're quite similar to the Topshop ones everyone was going crazy for last year, but they're significantly cheaper and - dare I say it - a bit nicer because of the studs.
I paired the boots with a studded bodycon skirt from River Island, which I got in the sale a couple of years ago for about £5. Black bodycon skirts are a wardrobe staple for pretty much everyone, so this was definitely money well spent! It's great for nights out, but also looks good with oversized jumpers to casual it down (opposite of dress it up?) a bit. I bought this jumper a feew weeks ago from H&M and I've worn it so much since the weather has started to get colder. It's a perfect deep burgundy shade for autumn and is quite a lightweight knit so it's great for layering. Unfortunately this colour seems to be sold out online at the moment, but it comes in quite a few different colours. I'm sure I spotted a black one and a plain grey one in store too, so I might have to go back and get a couple more!
And last but not least is my new necklace from Ginger Pickle. I ordered this a couple of months ago and have been wearing it so much, but I'm only just getting round to posting an outfit with it! Lots of the jewellery in the Ginger Pickle shop is handmade by Jade herself (she also has a lovely blog here), and the shop also stocks jewellery, stationery, homewares, and other lovely things from lots of small British designers. I absolutely love this necklace, even though it's made of metal it's quite light and dainty. I'll definitely be ordering some more things from Ginger Pickle when I fancy treating myself, and it would be perfect if you're stuck for birthday or Christmas gift ideas!
Are you loving the studs trend?

Ha, I love that jumper and own it in the same colour myself! I wear it to work often, where my chilly office makes it perfect for layering over skinny thermal tops, topped off with my big blanket scarf knotted around my neck! Think it puts people off coming too, given that I can barely be seen over great towers of knitwear..!
ReplyDeleteI love this! The skirt is gorgeous, as are the boots and necklace. Love when you out an outfit on and have a total 'I am a blogger' moment, makes me feel like I'm doing something right and being very cutting edge :L
