E.L.F.Mineral Moisturising Lip Tint in Rose (pictures 1 & 2) and Berry (pictures 4 & 6) // £3.50

I recently placed an order at E.L.F. and one of the things I purchased was the Mineral Moisturising Lip Tint in Rose. At the time I did my order, there was an offer on for a free mystery goody bag if you spent over £15, and one of the things in my bag turned out to be another one of the lip tints in the shade Berry. As you can see from the photos, they're very similar so I probably wouldn't have ordered both of them by choice. Saying that, however, I really like both of these colours and I think I will definitely use them both lots so I'm not too worried about having two almost identical lip tints.

The website claims these give "lip quenching colour", and I would definitely agree. They're packed full of good things like shea butter, jojoba oil, coconut oil, Vitamin E and SPF 8 to help protect and hydrate your lips. They feel really moisturising, more so than most of the lip balm/chapstick type products I usually use on my lips. I don't know if it's just my imagination, but my lips seem to be less dry and a bit nicer looking in general since I've started using these.

I was expecting these to give a fairly sheer tint of colour, but they're actually quite pigmented. Obviously because of the nature of the product you do have to reapply it a few times throughout the day, but they do give quite a strong colour that lasts for a good few hours. They give a much more natural finish than lipstick would, so are perfect for adding a little bit of colour to daytime makeup. I really don't suit nude lip colours but I don't like wearing bright red/pink lipstick during the day, so these are great for a pop of colour without looking too done up.

I (still!) haven't tried out the Revlon Lip Butters, but from what I've read I imagine these would be quite similar, plus they are a bit of a bargain at only £3.50. I think these will be great for the winter as they'll help to keep my lips nice and moisturised whilst adding a lovely pink flush of colour.

Have you tried the Mineral Moisturising Lip Tints?

  1. I have never tried ELF stuff but it looks great, I particularly like the berry one!

  2. I haven't tried elf but these looks lovely. Going by name I'd usually prefer berry shades but I actually like the rose colour better on.

  3. Oooh these look fab, so much better than I would've expected and they do look quite pigmented! Might have to give them a cheeky trial x

  4. these look great for work! the air con dries my lipstick up so maybe these would be better x

  5. BARGAIN ! the berry shade is lovely ! x

  6. I haven't tried anything from ELF but I was browsing these the other day with the special offers on the website, wish I'd bought them now! They look so nice on you! :) xx

  7. These look gorgeous! Such a good price too :)

  8. They sound wonderful, if they're any comparison to the Revlon Lip Butters (which I love) I have to try this.
I love your swatches of Rose, I love the colour.

  9. Very pretty, you have gorgeous skin! x

  10. I haven't tried the ELF range, but I did buy some Lily Lilo foundation the other day after reading your earlier recommendations, and I love it! I'm not a fan of make-up (or the way it feels on my skin) but minerals seems to be the way forward! Thank you for the recommendation.

  11. This looks so gorgeous! I agree - nudes are a no no for me and I don't like wearing overly bold lip colour in the day :-) Definitely need to place an E.L.F order soon!

  12. I have a couple of these too and LOVE them. Perfect for trying out more bold lip colours for a girl who really isn't brave enough to jump in at the deep in with lipstick, also found these great as I have super fry lips. I haven't tried the revlon lip butters, but having tried these for £3.50 each I'm not inclined to!
