I dare not even think how much all this totals up, but that’s the point of a wishlist, right? I probably won’t end up buying most of these, but I WANT THEM ALL. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t actually buy that much makeup as I usually stick to my routine and only buy cheap/drugstore things if I want to try something new. But lately I’ve been feeling the need to add more high end products to my makeup collection, I think it’s a sign I’m getting old. They might be more expensive, but nine times out of ten they’re better quality and will last longer, so it’s probably a better investment in the long run. That’s what I’m telling myself, anyway.
I have been meaning to buy a proper contour shade for ages but I never knew exactly what to look for, so when Kat mentioned the other day on Twitter that MAC’s Harmony blush was the perfect contour colour it went straight to the top of my wishlist. Usually I’m not too fussed about cheek products, but I’ve been using Benefit Hervana a lot recently and now I want some new blushes too. I really like the look of Sleek’s Rose Gold blush, especially as everyone says it’s a dupe of NARS Orgasm. And of course I’ll need a new blush brush to apply it with!
I dug my winter jacket out of the wardrobe for the first time in months the other day and when I put it on it I got a strong scent of Bvlgari Pour Femme perfume. It’s my favourite ever perfume but I ran out of it a few months ago and have never got round to replacing it. Catching a little sniff of it reminded me of how much I love it so I will need to be repurchasing it soon. It reminds me of a grown up version of Parma Violets, probably not to everyone’s taste but I love it!
I’m a little obsessed with setting my makeup as I always feel it looks unfinished if I don’t put anything on top of my foundation. I’ve heard Chanel’s loose powder is supposed to be good and I really want to try it but the £34 price tag is making me cry a little inside. I’ve also read quite a few good reviews of the Urban Decay setting spray; I tried the cheapy ELF version of this and it didn’t really do anything, so I’d be interested to see how this compares.
I saw this YSL lipstick mentioned in a recent Essiebutton Youtube video and I immediately fell in love with the colour. It’s such a nice bright red but the formula seems quite sheer so it would be perfect for an autumn daytime lip. I think this might be one to add to the birthday and/or Christmas list!
