1.Playing with Photoshop 2.Long lies 3.Bridges 4.Train provisions 5.Birthday card 6.Friday night’s outfit

The first half of this week was pretty uneventful as I was still staying at my parents’ house, but since I’ve got back to Edinburgh I seem to have been in a constant cycle of being drunk/hungover. During the festival, most clubs are open until 5am so I more or less just have to lie in a darkened room the whole of the next day to recover! I’ve never actually managed to stay out until 5am before, but I’m determined to do it once just to be able to say that I have! On Wednesday one of my friends came through for a night out and we managed to stay out until just after 4am – but then we had to admit defeat and came home to eat our weight in garlic bread. I also went out on Friday night for another friend’s birthday and had a really good night. The drinks were really expensive though, so I just asked for whatever was cheapest which happened to be Jack Daniels. Oh my god, remind me never to drink that again! I also put my artistic skills to good use and made her a birthday card – I could be a professional, right?!

I haven’t been to any shows at the Fringe yet, but I’ve been reading through the massive guide and have put some stickers next to all the things I want to go see. Hopefully I will manage to get organised and go to see lots of shows. Last year I didn’t make it to a single show as I was working ridiculous hours so all I did was work and sleep. That’s definitely not going to happen this year though, I’m determined to drag my friends along to lots of shows whether they want to go or not! My flatmate and I were going to go see something this afternoon but it’s absolutely pouring with rain just now and we don’t want to leave the flat – hopefully it will have stopped by the evening so we can venture outside haha!

My bank balance is looking unusually quite healthy and I haven’t been shopping for ages so I’ve decided I’m going to treat myself to some new beauty products. Is there any makeup you’ve bought lately that you really love? I want to buy some skin care products too as my current routine is pretty much non existent. I don’t even take my makeup off before I go to bed, naughty! My skin is usually pretty good but lately it has been a bit dry and keeps breaking out, so I think it’s time to sort out a proper routine. What are your favourite skin care products? I think I might order some Liz Earle things, are they really worth the hype?

How has your week been?

Ah my friends performing at the festival and she's really enjoying the whole thing at the moment.
I would really reccommend the Liz Earle Cleans and Polish. They're really gentle on the skin and (for me) worked wonders.

This is my 2nd summer living in edin and I still haven't made it to any fringe shows yet!! I know i know it's terrible!! I love Liz Earle, especially the makeup range they have just launched. The deal of the month, a sneaky purchase of mine, is the skincare trio (cleanse and polish, toner and moisturiser) plus the sheer skin tint for £41! A very good deal if you ask me 😉 oh and they are so worth the hype!!

I wish I could visit Edinburgh! Cute card and I got drunk last night but on rum, and luckily I was ok this morning since it doesn't give me a hangover, thank goodness 🙂

  • I've been to the Fringe every year for about four years running now but have NEVER seen a show haha. I never get to stop over because the hotel prices rocket because of the festival, and all the shows I want to see always seem to be at night. I normally just get distracted by the amazing street performers up the mile and stand there for ages and miss my train home…true story (; xx

I'd love to be in Edinburgh during the festival – would be so good!

  • I love the Liz Earle products – I would definitely give them a go! The birthday card is fab! x

  • I love Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and their face masks are good too for a treat but if you're looking for something to overhaulk your skin I'd definitely say Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair, I've gone to bed with splodgey, dry, flakey, angry skin and woken up to it beign really soothed and not flakey anymore. It doesn't do spots as spots, but it definitely makes them less dry and weird on the face. For actual spots my favourties are the Body SHop foaming cleanser – I bought it after Charlene blogged about it, and it's amazing and their tea tree spot treatment stick is really good for putting on at night as well – and although they're tea tree they don't dry skin out, which is what I've always foudn with tea tree stuff! (Sorry for the essay!)

  • Clubs open till 5AM? Wowzas. In my area most places close around 2AM, I definitely don't think I could make it till 5AM lol, even on a good day. I haven't gone drinking or clubbing in so long, I honestly miss it, mostly the dancing. This is an adorable birthday card you made. I wish I could help you with some quality beauty products but I look forward to hearing about what you end up with.
