I've had such a lovely week, mostly filled with eating, drinking and seeing my friends. I mentioned in last week's post that my friends' birthdays were coming up so on Friday night we all went out for karaoke, drinks and then dancing. I had such a good night and it was so nice to see them, it feels like I haven't seen anyone in ages because we've all had so much uni work to do lately. I got them each a really cute golden snitch necklace (from ebay) which is super pretty, I was tempted to keep one for myself! Also added some mini bottles of champagne, chocolate and cupcakes to the goody bag. The cupcakes from Bibi's Bakery looked so good when I was ordering them that I ended up getting a box for myself too! I think that banoffee pie cupcake is probably the best cake I've ever eaten, and I've eaten a lot of cake in my life.
I also managed an impromptu night out on Thursday, and had a takeaway and catch up with one of my friends on Tuesday too. When I haven't been socialising or drinking too much vodka, I've mostly been lounging about at home watching movies and catching up on TV shows. I used to have a LoveFilm account years ago which was great at the time, but when I moved to university I didn't get round to using it as much and it was a bit of a hassle remembering to send the discs back all the time. So a couple of months ago I signed up for Netflix instead and I'm loving it, makes it so easy to watch a film whenever you want without having to physically go and get it, or watch a poor quality version online that you have to wait hours to buffer! I'm looking for some more TV shows to start watching, what would you recommend? I'll watch most things as long as they're good - I like things like Breaking Bad, True Blood, Game of Thrones, Weeds, Arrested Development, The Vampire Diaries, Desperate Houswives, The Walking Dead... so lots of things basically!
I'm going home for a week or two tomorrow to visit my parents which I'm really looking forward to. I only tend to go home at the Christmas and Easter holidays and at some point during the summer, so it will be nice to see my parents (and my dogs! I have a feeling the puppy will be huuuge by now!) and relax for a couple of weeks. I've got a couple of outfit posts which I haven't had time to post yet, and a few reviews of products to do, so there will still be plenty to read on the blog while I'm at home.
How has your week been?

ReplyDeleteI can't wait for my uni work to be over so I can watch endless american tv again. I'd definitely recommend giving Once upon a time a watch, it's a bit cheesy but good :) Awake is also different and possibly Fringe too.

ReplyDeleteThat necklace is gorgeous and how good do those cupcakes look - we went to Bibi's when we were in Edinburgh last year, so so good! Cupcakes aren't as delicate or as pretty in most bakeries over here, it's all super large muffins and the basic cupcakes/ Yummy all the same though!
