I've been having computer issues this week as I managed to drop my laptop and now the power cable won't plug in properly. Oops! I was planning on buying a new one soon anyway but this has made it a bit more urgent! Thankfully my parents agreed to treat me to one as my old laptop was pretty much on its last legs and I really need a working laptop to see me through my last semester of university. Can't believe I've been at uni for 4 years, in one way I can't wait to graduate but in another way I'm scared and want to stay here forever!
This week I'm trying to implement my healthy eating/living routine and have been doing relatively well so far. I've downloaded the My Fitness Pal app for my phone and it's really useful being able to record how many calories you've consumed. I'm so bad for eating just because I'm bored so having a daily calorie limit to stick to really makes me think twice about snacking when I don't actually need to. I'm going to go to the gym for the first time in months this afternoon, even if my workouts aren't particularly long/strenuous it still makes me feel better if I make the effort to go. Although this will probably be cancelled out by the huge bucket of popcorn I eat at the cinema tonight! I think we're going to see The Iron Lady, it wouldn't be my first choice of film but my flatmate really wants to see it. Hopefully I'll enjoy it anyway, anyone seen it?
What have you been up to this week?

love this post, hope you have another even better week :) xx
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing sunset!!! Where is it?
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous isn't it! It's just outside my parents house in Aberdeen. x
DeleteAhh nice :) I'm terrible, I've lived in Edinburgh for over a year but I haven't gone further up north yet! That sunset alone makes me want to go though lol
DeleteThe Iron Lady is actually quite interesting, I thoroughly enjoyed it, despite not being a Thatcher fan. I thought te story was portrayed brilliantly & I was nearly crying at the end (you'll see why when you watch it - perhaps I was just being hormonal though, haha!). If anything, Streep's performance was excellent! Hope you enjoy it! Xo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics <3

ReplyDeleteI'm running a giveaway on my blog to win an American Apparel clutch or Models Own nail varnishes - please check it out!
Loved the first photo!
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to get a bit better with healthy eating and fitness. Not sure whether to download a calorie-counting app. I tend to get completely obsessed when I start... and I'm not sure that I'd rather just try and be a better at not snacking. We'll see! Beautiful pictures too.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the healthy living! If you nee any help or motivation me and the Where Are My Knees girls are happy to help.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about your dissertation, didn't start mine until 3 weeks before. It was a total mess, didn't have time to get it bound and I got 59% haha xx
I downloaded that app this week as well; the first day was okay but on the second I went waaay over my calorie allowance and felt so guilty!
ReplyDeleteI also got dragged along to The Iron Lady and was pleasantly surprised by it, hope you enjoy it too and the popcorn!
I got a bit obsessed with that ap and was setting myself silly goals so I stopped using it!Good luck with the dissertation, mine was a last minute job and I did literally no research so I'm sure you'll be fine!

Congrats on the healthy eating routine, I really need to start following a similar plan soon. I've read about some plans that sound really good. I haven't seen 'The Iron Lady' but it looks like it would be interesting. I like the yellow ring, I love different colored stones.

ReplyDeleteI've not actually seen the Iron Lady, but I've heard really good things about it, so I hope you enjoy it, I really want to see it.
